[Live in China] Samsung Galaxy S9 & Galaxy S9+ One UI 2.1 update rollout begins - PiunikaWeb

This story is being continuously updated…. New updates are being added at the bottom…..

Original story (published on June 15) follows:

Samsung has started rolling out the stable Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ One UI 2.1 update based on Android 10 operating system in South Korea.

The duo had been testing the software for the past several weeks. This, as expected, was limited to the Korean market, which explains why the region is the first to get the stable version as well.

A week ago, just before the stable One UI 2.1 update started rolling out to the Galaxy Note 9, we reported about the potential release of the Galaxy S9 One UI 2.1 update this week. And indeed, the firmware is now up for grabs.

In Korea, the software is arriving as version G960NKSU3ETF4 on the Galaxy S9 and version G965NKSU3ETF4 on the Plus variant. The update is rolling out over the air to all carrier-locked and unlocked variants sold in the region.

Next in line should be the Exynos variants sold across Europe, with Germany the likely candidate to spearhead the rollout, you know, just like the Galaxy Note 9 One UI 2.1 update.

Besides the new features included in the update, Samsung has also bundled the latest June 2020 security patch as part of the rollout. Unfortunately, though, Bixby routines aren’t included in this update.

We will keep an eye on the Galaxy S9 and S9+ One UI 2.1 update developments and let you know when the rollout spreads to other regions.
