After finishing last week with some new Galaxy S20 series updates, T-Mobile is starting this week with some more Samsung updates. First up, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ 5G appears to be getting its One UI 2.5 update. The update is version N976USQU3CTI6 and it comes in at a whopping 1150.72MB. T-Mobile hasn’t updated its Note 10+ 5G with a changelog, but owners on Reddit say the update includes One UI 2.5 plus the September 1, 2020 security patches. The update to One UI 2.5 brings with it a few new features. There are Pro Video features like support for recording 8K video at 24fps, video capture at a 21:9 aspect ratio, and the ability to control the phone’s microphone direction when recording video. Facebook-owned popular messaging app WhatsApp has been testing a host of new features over the last couple of months. Previous beta releases of the app have shed light on some of these features, including multi-device access, search by date, better storage usage tools, expiring messages, a “Mute Always” option for chats, and more. Recently, we talked about another upcoming feature, called “Expiring Media”, which would allow users to send self-destructing images, videos, and GIFs on the platform. While most of these features are yet to make their way to the stable channel, WhatsApp has now started testing a redesigned Storage Usage section in the latest beta release. A new WhatsApp update will allow users to delete an image, video or gif on someone else’s phone after sending it to them. The Expiring Media feature, first spotted by the website WaBetaInfo, causes media to disappear after being viewed within a chat. In order to enable the feature, the sender needs to select a “view once” button when sending the image, video or gif. When it appears on the recipients phone, it is only visible while they are in the chat.
