Samsung's aging rugged Android tablet Galaxy Tab Active Pro is getting a new software update. The company is rolling out the November 2022 Android security patch to the 2019 model. The update is available for both Wi-Fi and LTE models of the device, at least in a few markets. A wider release should begin shortly. As of this writing, the Galaxy Tab Active Pro Wi-Fi (model number SM-T540) is picking up the November SMR (Security Maintenance Release) in Europe. Well, the rollout has begun in Switzerland with firmware version T540XXS3CVL2 but should soon sweep through the continent before expanding into other regions. The same update for the LTE model (SM-T545) is available in the UK and Thailand with firmware version T545XXS3CVL2_B2BF. Samsung will soon cover units in more markets.
